Angelina Jolie’s The Breadwinner features the voice of Pakistani Ali Kazmi. The trailer of absolutely brilliant upcoming animated feature film is recently released and it is making everyone inspired. Titled ‘The Breadwinner’ is a story of a young girl named Parvana who is living under the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001. She chops off her hair to look like a boy in order to fit in the environment.

When her father is arrested by Taliban, Parvana dresses as a boy so that she can work for her family. With her best friend Shauzia, she risks everything to find out her father.

Although this film is special for everyone, but it’s more special for Pakistani’s, because it features the voice of our own Ali Kazmi. He will be playing the voice role of many characters like Darya, a jail warden and a fruit seller.

He said, “I did a few voices for the movie, mainly a character named Darya that has an important purpose to Purvana’s journey. It’s a beautiful story and one that holds many important messages for people around the world, such as child literacy, religious fundamentalism and skewing of religions, not to always judge a book by its cover, if you really believe you can do anything! All wrapped with superb animating. It’s produced by Angelina Jolie and directed by Oscar nominated director Nora Twomey”.

The movie is all set to hit the theaters in the Fall.
