1. Hiran Minar

One of the beautiful and amazing historical places in Pakistan is Hiran Minar in Sheikhupura 40 km away from the city Lahore. The 4th Mughal King Jahangir built this Hiran Minar in a beautiful lake. People say that it is a monument of a deer that’s why it is known as a deer tomb with the height of 100 feet. History witnesses about the lucky deer named “Mansraj”, pet of the Great Mughal. Later on, this tower was used to trace the hunting of wild animals.

2. Noor Mahal

Noor Mahal or Noor Palace is in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, which is one hundred and fifty years old. The history has many stuff to talk about this palace, where Nawab Subah Sadiq Muhammad Khan IV laid the foundation of this beautiful palace for his wife. This palace was made to be the home of Subah Sadiq and his family, but his wife refused to stay there and spent only one night because of the Basti Maluk Shah graveyard. Later on, this palace was used as the state guest house or for the meetings.

It’s design is like an Italian chateau on neoclassical lines and covers an area of 44,600 square feet. The double story building has 32 rooms with 14 in basement. It also contains 6 verandas and 5 domes. Known as one of the beautiful places in Pakistan, where everyone wish to live in once.

3. Wazir Khan Mosque

The Wazir Khan mosque was built by Shaikh Ilm-ud-din Ansari in 1634, who was Viceroy of Punjab under Shah Jahan. This mosque is located in Lahore, Pakistan and famous for its beautiful design. The Urdu meaning of Wazir is ‘minister’. The expanded and huge faience tile work there is the eye catching for all the tourists. This beautiful mosque is known as one of the famous historical places in Pakistan, which was built in seven years.

4. Mohenjo Daro

Mohenjo Daro is another beautiful yet one of the historical places in Pakistan you should see. This place was discovered in 1921, famous part of the Indus Valley Civilization and has similar nature like Harappa. For the tourists all around the world, Mohenjo Daro is the unique area to visit, especially for those who have a true sense of historical places. The ancient buildings and houses in Mohenjo Daro is made up of mud and baked bricks, which made the architecturally wonderful town.

The interesting fact about Mohenjo Daro is the 10.8 cm dancing girl, found from the house in 1926. This was the most famous statue  of historian and archaeologist Mortimer Wheeler. Wheeler said,  “There is her little Baluchi-style face with pouting lips and insolent look in the eye. She’s about fifteen years old I should think, not more, but she stands there with bangles all the way up her arm and nothing else on. A girl perfectly, for the moment, perfectly confident of herself and the world. There’s nothing like her, I think, in the world.”

5. Minar e Pakistan

Located in Lahore, Minar-e-Pakistan is one of the historical places in Pakistan, where people come day and night to enjoy the site. It was built to celebrate the Lahore Resolution on 23rd March 1940 and to demand the separate homeland for Muslims. The best part about this fabulous place is it took eight years in its construction and its base is about 8 meters above the ground.

6. Tomb Of Jahangir

When we talk about the historic buildings, landmarks and cultural heritage of Pakistan, we can’t forget the Tomb of Jahangir. It carries the special place in the list of beautiful and historical places in Pakistan. It’s location is in the suburbs of Lahore in Shahdara. The place was specifically chosen for this tomb because Jahangir and his wife Nur Jahan liked it. Jahangir was buried in the Dilkushan Garden in the same tomb after his death and his son Shah Jahan constructed the tomb in honor of his father.

The entrance of this tomb has connected with the tall tower from all the four sides. These four corners of the tower are 100 feet high. With the passage of time, the beauty of the tomb is vanishing and it needs some extra care because visitors love to see this historical place.

7. Rohtas Fort

The another masterpiece depicts the real traditions and cultural heritage is Rohtas Fort in Jhelum. In the 16th century, the Afghan king Farid Khan, also known as Sher Shah Suri built this fort. It was constructed in 8 years followed with architectural and historical style. It follows the style of Afghan-Persian architecture and you will be glad to see the great walls with gigantic gates.

The Rohtas Fort is consist of twelve gates names as Sohail Gate, Shah Chandwali Gate, Kabuli Gate, Shishi Gate, Langar Khani Gate, Talaqi Gate , Mori Gate, Khwas Khani Gate, Gatali Gate, Tulla Mori Gate, Pipawala Gate and Sar Gate. For those who wants to visit Qila Rohtas must know the famous attractions inside the fort like, Haveli Man Singh, Phansi Ghat, The museum near Sohail Gate, Rani Mahal, Royal Mosque, Talaqi, Shishi and Langar Khana gates.
