Shahid Afridi left Peshawar Zalmi after two mind blowing seasons of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The 37-year-old, known as Boom Boom Afridi was the captain of franchise in the first edition. In second edition West Indies captain Darren Sammy was selected. Posted around 12:30 am on Twitter, he announced that he has taken the decision to leave Peshawar Zalmi due to some personal reasons.
“Won the trophy with one team, time for another. I am announcing my end of service as president and player of Peshawar Zalmi team due to personal reasons.”
One can see he has plans to join the other team next season, but which team, nobody knows. Shahid Afridi left Peshawar Zalmi, but he wished luck to the team by saying that,
“My best wishes with Peshawar Zalmi and as far as my Peshawar fans are concerned I know they are with me wherever I go.”
Peshawar Zalmi won the final PSL at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, which was the huge achievement for Pakistani cricket. Although there were many security issues, but Pakistan gave everyone lots of amazing moments by taking back cricket to the homeland. Well, we can only wish best of luck to Lala as complete details of his resignation from PZ has not been revealed yet.
